I have had this for 9 months now and my first impression was that it was a big and heavy travel system, but then again so were the rest I looked at. However the number one priority was the safety and comfort of my baby girl which is why i chose Chicco. The car seat is very sturdy, easily loads and unloads onto its base which locks very securely, and it has a maximum weight capacity of 30lbs so it can be used for many months. The stroller reclines completely to allow for comfortable naps, has a great hood design and is easy to control. As for me, it provides a large basket, adjustable handle, cup holder and compartment for my keys. The only cons is its weight and bulkiness.

We received this travel system as a gift & loved it as soon as we got it. The stroller folds & unfolds easily & the car seat is really sturdy compared to other more "plastic-y" car seats. The only thing is I wish is that this car seat was rated for more than 22lbs. My son was over 9lbs when born & now at only 5 months old, he’s almost 20lbs. He will outgrow this car seat soon & we’ve had to purchase a convertible car seat sooner than anticipated. Other than that, we are very satifisfied with the product & wish we could use the car seat longer!

Im expecting my first babay in Dec and really was interested in this system based on consumer reports. When I started looking at it online I saw customers reviews complained endlessly about the inability to use the bottom basket once the seat is in the all the way down position as it would be when using it with the car seat. So before placing this system on my registry I went to the store and REALLY put this system through a test drive. First thing I learned is to read carefully not every Keyfit uses the Keyfit 30 carseat, which is what I wanted. Second theres no problem reaching and using the basket when the carseat is snapped in. Do you have as much room as when its just the stroller- no. But you can absolutley get into and out of it easy. Next I really wanted to be able to use a snap and go stroller frame the first few weeks after delievry. So I emailed Chicco customer service and found out that although they dont make one so "offically" cant endorse one they said that the Baby trend Snap and Go frame does hold the Chicco Keyfit 30 very safely. Of course I had to take that down off the display load the car seat into it and try to get it to shake or come loose. It didnt even budge. And I made my 6’5 bull in a china shop fiance try as while. I left the store more then satisfied with this system and on the registry it went cant wait for it and my new baby girl to arrive.

Ps I took a picture of the basket access with the seat all the way reclined. Decide for yourself :)

I LOVED THIS SET! I saw it last year before it came out and I just had to have it!! We got it for my daughter who was born in August and it was all that I expected. I love how well the stroller moves and such. The car seat isn’t bulky and 2 others can still fit in our backseat. My first issue was safety for my child so I went with this car seat. Even now that she is 13 months I can still put her in the seat if I need to because it goes to 30 lbs and there is NOT a height restriction on it. Most people I know got a cheaper car seat, but yet they cannot use theirs still. I feel that you get what you pay for. I love this set! I’m sad that we don’t get to use it as much. We use the stroller still, but now I am thinking of getting a smaller chicco stroller for quick trips. You WILL NOT regret buying this set. Although I do have to say you can find it cheaper than this price. Do your research on the web before committing to one price!

I LOVE this travel system. The click and go system is just SO easy to use. I love the LUNA color as well, a great nuteral for either boy or girl and very stylish. Turns on a dime, and love that you can go from the car to the stroller without having to take the baby out of the car seat. Love it love it love it.

Love the baby car seat, how easy it is to get in and out of the car. As for the stroller its great – just wish it had more space for babies belongings underneath compartment. If you want to put a diaper bag in the bottom, make sure to do so before putting the baby seat into the stroller. Otherwise you wont be able to unless your baby bag is very small. Once the baby is to big for the car seat then the challange of getting the baby bag in and out of the stroller wont be as crazy.

I just bought this travel system online yesterday. As suggested in a review before mine DO YOUR RESEARCH on prices (Way better prices on other sites). Didn’t cost me nearly as much as I anticipated and VERY happy with the colors!!

I compared the Chicco Cortina travel system with the Safety 1st Areolite travel system and I must admit I was all for the Safety 1st (At first).

My fiance took me to the nearest Babies"r"us and there we compared features. Hands down no questions asked the Chicco was ALOT easier to manage. The snack tray is a snap to remove, and the brakes only require one foot unlike the Safety 1st the snack tray was nearly impossible to figure out how to remove (In a calm environment with no baby) and you need to push down on both sides on the brakes to completely lock.

I couldn’t get around to just letting go of the fact that the Safety 1st had "Air Protect", until I was told by MANY people that the Chicco was the safest car seat. I did my own research and found out it’s rated #1 in car seat safety. Best reviews down the board for Chicco by other mom’s made the decision even easier for me.

This is a wonderful travel system. We bought it because of the safely ratings on the car seat. The stroller has great maneuverability.

Im a new mom who received this from my registry.
This travel system is worth every penny, you can tell the difference between this one and a cheap one!its modern, and very easy to use.YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

  10. Gramaziokittie on October 9th, 2010 at 12:00 am

LOVE the travel system! Stroller is great, fits in my mazda 6i trunk perfectly, and drives GREAT, car seat is much more comfortable than the Graco, and he could lay back far enough when in the car so his head wouldnt bounce around (the reason why i bought this and ditched my graco)

Basket access is a little tough when seat is reclined all the way back (it must be all the way back to click in car seat) BUT i know its hard to get stuff in and out now, so i put the diaper bag in there first, then the car seat, and i make sure bottle access is closest to my legs so i dont have to take it out. Car seat is a little on the heavy side, but pretty close to my graco 1. i still have it and i compared.

Biggest problem i have!!!: Carseat doesnt fit into shopping carriages!!! drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!

my son is 15 weeks old, weighs 14 lbs and fits fine in the carseat. i see no issues with the fitment for the upcoming 9 more months.

  11. Omm Seif on October 9th, 2010 at 12:00 am

Easy to use and durable, I’ve been traveling overseas with it and so far it’s still in good shape. The only problem is that you can’t access the basket with the car seat in it

  12. Jay on October 17th, 2010 at 12:00 am

The set is great! I saw this set at a different store and had to get it. Chicco brand is very heavy but its also the safest and i believe thats what matters. Its easy to put together i did it myself in 10 minutes. I would recommand this to everyone :)

  13. Mom of all girls on October 19th, 2010 at 12:00 am

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this travel system! Super easy base to install. Stroller is easy to push/turn. Car seat is big. My 7 month old has lots of room to grow. Well worth the money!!!

  14. Mom-to-be on October 20th, 2010 at 12:00 am

Great product, well built, worth the money, seems very safe, fits in a car, stroller is easy to fold and stow away, great looking, base is very heavy and well built, easy to install, and easy to steer. I love this product..

  15. Mom of 3 on October 21st, 2010 at 12:00 am

I bought this after carefully trying out tons of travel sytems. After having 2 boys, I know what a travel sytem can go through. This one was so easy to put together and I love that when you fold it it stands on it’s own and does not lay on the ground! The adjustable handle and all the compartments are great as well!!!

  16. Disney Mom on October 24th, 2010 at 12:00 am

We purchased this travel system long before our little one was born. We agonized about which travel system to purchase for weeks, and after much debate, decided to purchase a Chicco system. With our 5-year old godson, who we took care of frequently, his parents had a Graco system. We naturally assumed that we would end up buying one due to our familiarity with that product. I am very glad we went with the Chicco over the Graco.

The main reasons we bought the Chicco were the adjustable handlebars (I’m 5’9" and my husband is 6’6"; having an adjustable handlebar allows him to lower the bars to a height that provides enough room beneath the stroller for his stride), and the breathable fabric (please note that the Luna collection has a different fabric that the Discovery, which is the most popular color selection in the store; the Discovery fabric is not very breathable, while the Luna fabric and most of Chicco’s online fabric selections are very breathable, which is essential since we live in FL).

Several people complain about the Chicco carseats not fitting into the top of a shopping cart. Just a side note here, do a little research on infant injuries relating to shopping carts and you will be GLAD that your Chicco car seat doesn’t fit in the top of the shopping cart. Is it slightly annoying to have to put the car seat in the large portion of the shopping cart and put your groceries around it… yes. Is it so annoying that you would risk your baby’s life to avoid it… NO!

Some people also complain about the difficult lower basket access. It is designed for you to access that basket using your foot. When you’re at the store playing with the floor model, use your foot to lower the basket and you’ll see how easy it really is.

As a final note, we did not find out the sex of our baby until after he was born. When we bought this system I was worried that the print might be a little bit too girlish (it’s very gender neutral colors: beige, brown, cream, and red, but I worried that the print resembled a Coach bag and would look too girlish). It does not at all look girly and is VERY gender neutral. We had a big baby who will be out of this car seat well before he turns one; we are hoping that the car seat keeps well so we can reuse it with baby #2.

  17. gie on October 24th, 2010 at 12:00 am

we were using this carseat when we were hit from behind on a 3-car traffic accident. our car was sandwiched in between 2 cars. my baby was only 6 wks old at that time. our car was nearly totalled but our baby did not even have any bruise on her. I should say that this car seat played a vital role in saving her from that accident. would recommend to any parent for reliability and safety. speaking through experience.

  18. Erin Marie on October 28th, 2010 at 12:00 am

I love this travel system! When you move it around and mess with it you can tell its made very well. Its easy to put in the dock in the car. And in and out of the stroller. I love the pattern on it. You can use it if you have a boy or a girl. My only draw backs are its very hard to put anything in the storage sack at the bottom and the thing that makes me most upset is that it does not fit in MOST shopping carts! baby’s r us… fits great! [...]… perfect but any grocery store. Does not fit. Makes shopping hard because you have to either put the baby in the stroller and shop with a helper/husband or you have to put the carrier in the basket and you have no where to put your Food. :(

This was the worst stroller I ever bought.
