    What I disliked:
My husband convinced me to buy this travel system when we were pregnant with our first daughter. I agreed because I liked that you could snap from car to stroller. However, I never liked the stroller that it came with. I stopped using it after she outgrew the carseat. I have friends who loved the stroller… it was just too big for me, the car, it didn’t compact well at all!
I WOULD have gotten the carseat/base (not travel system) and then used one of those metal frame things and gotten a stroller I actually liked.

Also, when the carseat is in the stroller you do not have a basket.

What I dislke about it now that I’m on baby #2:
Chicco does not play well with other brands! I am looking for a double stroller and since I didn’t like the single that came with the travel system, I DEFINITELY will not like the double that chicco just put out. I want a compact double stroller that will accept the carseat… but I have yet to find one.

I bought a baby trend first because of price. When i got home and put it together i was not impressed so i took it back the next day and got this one. It’s exactly what i wanted. It seems to be well made and will be able to withstand more than one use. This is baby #2 and we had a used evenflo given to use and i disliked it alot. I love this travel system.

If the carseat was not so heavy I would have rated this system with 5 stars. However, it is very uncomfortable when I get out of the car to go somewhere. Notice that I am a pretty strong woman, but still the carseat is heavy for me. I think that it is a very safe carseat, so I am using it anyway.

Daily stroller use (i.e., mall, walks, etc.)
Easy to collapse and open up
Like the way that the seat locks into the stroller
Hate the bottom basket!!! You can’t put anything into or take anything out of the basket if the car seat is in the stroller because the stroller seat must be reclined for it to fit into the stroller. This poses a HUGE problem with diaper bags! For this reason, I don’t think I would recommend this stroller. And it outweighs any of the positives I see with it.

Both my husband and i love it, the handles adjust to different hights and since my husband and i are both very tall this is perfect for us, the extra padding for newborn is great my daughter is now 4 monhts and i still use it. The only problem is that she is taking after us in the "height deparment" and her legs are already "out" of the car seat but i dont mind so much and it doesnt seem to bother her.

I fell in love with this stroller and car seat and comparing it to a few others, thought I had made the right selection. My mother purchased this for me at my shower and thankfully I didn’t open the box (too early before baby arrives in Sept.). A friend of mine had the same stroller in "Luna", she had her daughter in May so her car seat and stroller was getting lots of use. She had informed me that the car seat does NOT latch onto a carriage for shopping! She tried it at different stores and it just doesn’t lock in. I called Chicco directly to see if there was anything to fix this and was informed that they (and the Pediatric Association?) do not advise on using the car seat in a carriage and to place the baby in the big part of the carriage or use one of the already mounted baby carriers. If you do this, where do you put your groceries?? This made a big impact for me as I am the one who handles the shopping. I researched other strollers and ended up returning this one and went with the Graco Quattro Tour Sport Travel System Stroller – Boone that had great reviews and was listed as the safest in consumer reports, for the safety and also what will work with my life, it was the choice for me. I know that when I was looking at the strollers in the store, I didn’t even think to see how it locked onto a carriage!

Love this system. Easy to collapse etc. Bottom basket is big, and you can make it bigger by undoing the front part. Comfortable car seat and nice design for boys or girls. I also like the mama cup holder and other storage for keys etc.

My fiance will be gone for the first 6 months and we were looking for a system that I could handle alone along with my 6 yr.old and I have to say this is the 1!!! In my opinion the carseat is no heavier than others in its class and naturally all carseats will seem alot heavier once a child is inside. The stroller fully reclines and the lower foot flap on the stroller can fold upward and attach to the seat lining(perfect for bunting in cold weather or to create the cradle/bassinet feel).Easy 1 hand open and closure.Very easy to set up,I do not consider myself handy by any means and I had it fully assembled in about 20 minutes. The basket storage is a bit difficult to get to while seat is fully reclined and the system is a bit bulkier than others but it has all the proper and necessary accomodations for parents and baby without being overly big.

We bought a peg perego and took it back the very next day… We had been looking at the chicco and decided to go with….so glad we did…durable and sturdy! Perfect place to hold your things underneath, great cup holder and area for our son to snack and hold his drink. The car seat is tight and firm..a perfect fit. Very easy to use and snaps right on top of the stroller…EASY as PIE!!!! We are in love and will ingrate to the double when baby number two comes around.

This is my 2nd child and I wish I had this travel system when I had her! The car seat comes w/ the head protectors and helps the baby’s head stay in place. The padding for the bottom of the car seat was also a big bonus because our baby was small. She fit perfectly. The stroller is great and I love the fact that I can open the front tray on both sides and the it reclines all the way. I’ve used this feature a few times already to change her diaper at the park! She LOVES it and we love it too!!

It seems like there has been a lot of critcism in regards to the stroller. Yes, the basket is annoying and it’s basically impossible to fit a diaper bag in if the stroller is reclined. That is really disappointing. However, Chicco is a very safe brand. I would take the stroller being heavy and awkward and have a safe carseat any day. Buying a lighter weight travel system compromises the safety of your child. My suggestion if you are going to be using a stroller a lot, is to just buy the carseat and find another stroller (Like BOB) that has a attachment for the chicco to click in. Check safety rathings before you buy any carseat. I have loved my Chicco carseat. I recently purchased a higher end stroller that has a chicco bar to attach the carseat and I am very happy with it so far! Best of luck!

I love the color & the fabric is soft I thought it would b kinda hard. It was easy to put together um 38 weeks & I did it by myself. My son is due in four day’s & I cant wait to bring him home in it. Also I love the base it’s very heavy, over all I would recommend CHICCO to a friend….

  13. Mom of 2 month old boy on August 26th, 2010 at 12:00 am

My mother purchased the Chicco Cortina Travel System for my husband and I as a shower gift, and boy, am I glad she did! We love our stroller/carseat, but it’s a VERY expensive travel system and we could never have gotten it on our own. The carseat locks securely into the base, and both are easy to install/use. The stroller has excellent features and rotates in a tight circle, making navigating a breeze. My only complaint is that extra bases are really expensive, and have made it difficult for us to afford them for family members that babysit often. Other than price, this product is an awesome buy and we’re very glad to have it!

I received this as a baby shower gift, and I love it. Both the car seat & stroller get used daily, and both are very easy to handle. Being a new mom I researched many different systems, and even though this is a litte expensive, it is well worth the money. The car seat is very easy to get in and out of the car, and the stoller very easily folds in half for storage. I really love that it has an adjustable handle, as I am a tall woman and I can adjust it to fit me.

  15. Kookadooks on September 4th, 2010 at 12:00 am

Stroller does it’s job… Issues I had was the basket is not accessible when the car seat is in the stroller and my baby sweat her butt off in the car seat. It’s a smooth ride otherwise and folds nicely.

After searching for the perfect travel system, I decided to go with this model[...] I am pleased with my purchase. The stroller is especially great! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because my baby is not yet a year old and it looks like she will be outgrowing the car seat already, and both the car seat and the stroller are a bit heavy and you need two hands to maneuver them. On the flip side, the design is very sturdy! Also, the basket underneath the stroller is nice and deep and I can go grocery shopping with baby!

  18. Me on September 8th, 2010 at 12:00 am

My husband and I were registering for a stroller and there were many features that we knew we didn’t like about the other strollers, like the straps that you would have to tighten or loosen on the back of the stroller in order for the back of the seat to go up or down. also, how the cup holder would always be in between the childs legs. and we also had an issue with how low or how small many of the baskets were on other strollers. This had everything and more that we wanted in a stroller. It is a bit pricey but it is one of the safest strollers compared to many. [...]..it was great! The only con I have for this is when the seat is all the way down or the car seat is in the stroller you cannot access anything easily in the basket but overall we are hoping to recieve this at our shower!

i got this for i loved the color n compact style..i initially thought its the best investment…should have got convertible car seat n stroller separately as this combo is not of much use.. stroller is great but basket access is difficult after u fix the car seat… car seat is kinda cramped…my son (12 lbs) seems to have outgrown it already..gets sweaty n warm even in cool weather…

  20. Firsttimer on September 14th, 2010 at 12:00 am

The stroller was difficult for us to put together because I haven’t had a baby in my house for several years and my husband has never had a baby in his house. Once we got it together, we loved it! I like how you only have to pull one handle to fold the stroller. That is so convenient. I also like the fact that the basket goes all the way back. That will make a great place for our son to sleep.
